I am back! Took a much needed vacation to Las Vegas for 4 days and had a great time. My favorite part: the 85 degree weather and getting to stay at both Red Rock and The Palazzo, amazing places! Also got to try out a few photos from my brand new Lumix DMC - LX5, and let me say, it is changing my life. I have already been a fan of the Lumix line for awhile now, but this baby is small, compact and yet shoots as if I have an SLR in my pocket. I am sure I will keep discovering more and more about it, but it is definitely worth the money already. Pictures from Vegas are coming tomorrow! Goodnight xo

Ombre Hair

I have been debating changing my hair for a few months now, but I just CANNOT imagine parting with my long locks. Luckily, I have been doing a little research and I think the Ombre look might be just want I need to spice things up without losing my length or color. Thoughts? Has anyone else had a success story with going ombre? I think I would want to lean towards a more natural look and don't want to go too drastic on colors in either direction. Fall Sunday

It was a very windy weekend here in NYC but I love how it finally really feels like Fall. This will be only my second Fall experience on the East Coast and I am looking forward to chilly nights, Halloween, changing leaves and friends and family coming to visit. What are you looking forward to? I still have no idea what I will be for Halloween but I hope candy is involved!

Absolutely loving these interiors. Definitely my decorating style when it comes to mixing it up with modern. I also enjoy a lot of white with great color accents, but nothing that is too girly or glamourous. To the opposite effect, I could definitely live in a huge open space loft with a lot of wood and vintage pieces. To me, decorating starts with the space: what the walls, floors, windows and treatments all bring to make everything feel complete. Thus making my decorating place completely unpredictable. Although both of these categories make me so so giddy, I have a lot of passions that span way beyond these things. A few of them are: travel, learning to cook, interior design, party planning, weddings and so much more. I work in advertising in my "real life" and blog about digital strategy, social media and advertising on my personal website/blog here.

Life passes us by very quickly, spend that time doing what you love, with the people you love. When I am flipping through magazines and blogs and seeing inspiration, it only reminds me more and more how beautiful life is and how creative people can be. It is odd, but seeing fashion and home and beauty and travel and relationship and quote and design inspiration, only makes life MORE enjoyable for me. I hope you feel the same for something you are inspired by. I envision myself in the context of these photos and think, how happy would I be if I were doing that with this person? I hope I don't sound crazy or materialistic at all, I am probably the furthest from it, but blogging and great design keep me sane sometimes. I love that blogging pushes people to love and appreciate things they wouldn't normally be able to ever see. Does anyone else feel this way? :)

Miami

I spent 4th of July in MIAMI. I had never been before and thought it would be a great idea to have some sun and relaxation over the long holiday weekend. Although it was very humid and very crowded, I had a great time exploring South Beach and loving our accommodations at The Tides. We have stayed at The Tides in Mexico before and were welcomed back with open arms. I highly recommend The Tides if you are looking for stunning rooms designed by Kelly Wearstler and impeccable service by every single staff member. At The Tides we truly felt at home and they didn't even pay us to say that. :) Here a few pics from my trip below. Hope all of you had a great holiday weekend. Dreams and Passions

I have been determined since the beginning of this year to keep this blog as non-personal as possible, but somehow I always come back to writing tid bits about my life. I recently landed what is quite possibly one of my first "dream" jobs at an advertising agency that I could have only ever hoped to work for. Location, culture, genius and innovative are a few words that I would use to describe this place that I now call home 5 days a week. A lot of you (strangers) may not have even know I worked in advertising, but well, now you do!

Anyways, that is pretty much my long-winded excuse/apology for not blogging. Seeing Double

I am back from my great adventure/road trip and all of a sudden it is full-blown SUMMER in NYC. I couldn't be happier about the shorts and sandal weather and it finally feels like it is going to be great weather for months. Ever since I was a little girl, I have loved anything miniature. One Christmas my dad built me an amazing doll house and a few years after that I became obsessed with the books "The Little's". I remember reading about this tiny family that made furniture out of household items and couldn't stop reading. Even the movie "The Rescuers" fascinated me, when in the opening scenes, a comb is used as a ladder. So, when I came across these photos below of tiny people by photographer Oscar Ciutat, I was instantly in love. I was only going to post a few, but instead, decided to post the entire series of photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Botanical Gardens

This past weekend was the perfect setting for a trip up to the Bronx to walk around the New York Botanical Gardens. I had never been before and was pleasantly reminded of my time spent in London. The grounds are so reminiscent of beautiful gardens and parks found all over the UK. The flowers were blossoming and the weather was perfect. Would be great to take visiting family and show them something outside Manhattan! I would recommend going before the weather gets too hot to stand! Enjoy! xo

Favorite 75 Degree Weather Outfit

I am very excited that the weather is nice in San Diego and NYC now. I went home to California for the weekend and didn't know what to expect with all the rain that has been burdening them lately. Luckily, jeans and a light sweater were the perfect combination for a trip to the beach for lunch. I put together a little collage of 75 degree weather clothing for both coasts these days; when you can ditch the jacket, but can't quite bare those legs yet. Enjoy! xo
